The water park was great - not a chintzy water park but a real one with tons of rides and a lazy river and a wave pool. I came here with my kids and it was amazing! With the room you get Zoom Flume water park, breakfast, dinner and all the hotel activities and amenities. We ended up staying nearly a week because we loved it so much. The hotel of course provided all the equipment and we could use it whenever we wanted at no cost. If I wanted to d something on my own or with my granddaughter I also had tons of choices - a heated pool, a pool table, ping pong, shuffleboard (which was a blast), bocce, badminton, playgrounds, sports of all kinds including soccer, football, basketball and more. The rooms were spacious - perfect for a family trip. The hotel staff from owner to cooks to counselors were all incredibly helpful. I could finally relax and just enjoy my granddaughter. It was such a treat to have all the food and activities organized. They had counselors entertaining the kids. They did magic shows, they gave the guests cool things to paint, they organized games, boating adventures, kids plays, game nights, sports nights, family dances, bonfires and outdoor big screen movies. Finally the hotel has tons of activities for kids and adults and amenities to enjoy on your own. The hotel also has included breakfast and dinner (the food was great with at least 6 choices a night). The hotel is attached to a great included water park with tons of rides for all ages, a wave pool and a lazy river. I wanted to go on a vacation we could both enjoy but where I’d also get to relax a little. This place was just what we needed! I am raising my granddaughter on my own. It's not the fanciest place you will go to, but it's not shabby or dirty either. It's a nice getaway if you like a quaint quiet spot that also has a nice water park. Despite that long list of cons, I still think the good outweighs the bad enough for me to come back again. You have to share their irons with other guests. You've been warned! There are also no irons in the room. We had to use the same towels (which were not much larger than hand towels) and washcloths for our entire stay. Also, they didn't clean the room every day. You're smack dab in the middle of the country, so there are all kinds of bugs everywhere. Also, if you don't like bugs, think twice before coming here. They do have free wifi, but it's kinda iffy. I got lost getting home because no GPS was available. You may need to switch to cellular calling in order to be able to use your phone. Since it's in the mountains, GPS and phone calls are very spotty. The water park is very nice, and when that closes, they have things to do on the property such as an outdoor pool, a basketball hoop, ping pong, handball, shuffleboard, a little playground, and a little bounce house. Peace and Quiet if you need it, or fun entertainment for the kids. The food is decent, and so are the portions. You get the water park, your room, and restaurant quality breakfast and dinner for less than what other places charge without feeding you. I'll talk about the good first, and then mention the bad. My trip wasn't perfect, but it was good enough for me to come again. I was priced out of other water parks and resorts, so I figured I'd give this one a try. You know how places like to Jack up their prices at this time of year. I went here during the 4th of July weekend. For the price I paid to go here, I would have paid double at other places.
